In 2017, together with Peter Slagter, I co-founded Descryptor (formerly LekkerCryptisch), an independent platform of journalists and builders where we explore a wide range of topics at the intersection of technology and economics. From macroeconomics and digital central bank money to Bitcoin, decentralized finance, and digital property rights. We make this often complex subject matter accessible through articles, newspapers, radio, television, and podcasts. We are also frequently asked for advice and practical assistance in navigating a complex market, as well as for in-company training and education. In 2021, Peter and I authored the bestseller 'Ons geld is stuk' about the inadequacy of our current monetary system for the (digital and global) future, and the role that Bitcoin and other decentralized technologies can play in it. In 2021, together with Peter Slagter and Bart Mol, I founded the knowledge platform Bitcoin Alpha. On this platform, we share our analysis and explanations of developments in the decentralized technology and digital assets market. Our audience includes bankers, politicians, regulators, tech companies, and journalists. Finally, I have a passion for complex systems, risk, and uncertainty. In all my work, you will see a keen eye for acting and decision-making in uncertainty. Occasionally, I also give a lecture or workshop on this topic.
